Free Software? – It’s Anthropology, Stupid
Is Free Software merely a technical and economic choice, or does it reflect a particular understanding of human nature? Based on my presentation at QtCon 2016, this revised article explores the theological and philosophical foundations of Free Software, contrasting self-interest with altruism and examining the importance of sharing knowledge in the information society.
